Columbia Asia, a Seattle hospital company that owns 27 hospitals and clinics in Southeast Asia, said it plans to spend $150 million over the next four years to add eight more hospitals.

The company currently has facilities in Malaysia, India, Vietnam and Indonesia, and says it has more than 8,000 employees serving more than 2 million patients.

“No other healthcare provider in Asia has hospitals in as many countries operating under a single brand,” said Daniel Baty, the founder of parent Columbia Pacific Management, in a statement.

The company recently named John Northen as CEO.
