Fortis Healthcare Conducted Free Medical Camp


Fortis Healthcare, in association with RTO Chennai West, conducted a free health camp on the RTO premises recently. The camp saw a footfall of around 300-350,  people who were screened for height, weight, body mass index (BMI), blood sugar and blood pressure.

The event included a special talk on road safety by Dr Tharagaram, Head of Emergency, Fortis Healthcare Chennai. Dr Tharagaram spoke about various aspects of road safety and conducted a small session on immediate action to be taken in case of a road traffic accident.

The team from the RTO Chennai West headed by  Ashok Kumar, Motor Vehicles Inspector spearheaded this initiative.

Every year, all the Fortis network hospitals organise several camps on different health concerns based on the need of a community. Through these camps, the facilities use the opportunity to create awareness on different topics which help people take required measures to protect themselves from preventable diseases.

The healthcare verticals of the company primarily comprise hospitals, diagnostics and day care speciality facilities. Currently, the company operates its healthcare delivery services in India, Singapore, Dubai, Mauritius and Sri Lanka with 66 healthcare facilities (including projects under development), over 10,000 potential beds and approximately 260 diagnostic centres.
